Thursday Night Football
Raiders @ Rams
Should the Raiders win this one and a few others before the season ends it could be a job saver for Raiders first year coach Josh McDaniels. As for the Rams with Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp still on injured reserve they better hope that other players in their offense will step it up in the passing game. Our Pick: Raiders
Sunday Games
Vikings @ Lions
If the Lions are gonna win this one they are gonna have to figure out a way to make it a shootout. While both teams have superior offenses it could be a matter of how well things go in the rushing game as the Vikings have only given up 114.6 yards per game rushing through week 13 while the Lions have given up 154.6 per game to make them the 30th strongest rush defense in the league. Our Pick: Vikings
Ravens @ Steelers
In this one the Ravens may have a quarterback crisis as Lamar Jackson left the game hurt early with a knee injury in week 13 against the Broncos. If that is the direction the game goes for Jackson next week it could be a good test against a Steelers defense which is seventh in rushing yards at 104 yards per game. If Jackson does come back healthy then he may have to think twice about scrambling and rely more on his running back Gus Edwards who has averaged more than four yards a carry. Our Pick: Ravens
Browns @ Bengals
The Bengals may have a slightly easier time making the Browns a one dimensional team as their running back Joe Mixon is still on concussion protocol. If Mixon comes back he could make it a long day for the Cleveland defense. As for the Bengals with both Amari Cooper and Ja’Marr Chase back, if they can get them involved early they can make it a long day for the Cleveland defense. Our Pick: Browns
Jets @ Bills
While the Jets may be into its third week with a new quarterback because of the attitude of Zach Wilson in week 12 against the Patriots it will be the offense’s strongest test yet. As for the Bills if the dominant Josh Allen shows up he could make it a long night for the Jets. Our Pick: Bills
Texans @ Cowboys
This game will be the biggest test yet for Texans starting quarterback Kyle Allen as the Cowboys pass defense in the NFL at 177.7 yards per game heading into week 13. As for the Cowboys at least on paper they should be able to out bully the Texans in the rushing game who have given up the most rushing yards in the league at 168.6 yards per game. Our Pick: Cowboys
Eagles @ Giants
Both of these teams have strong running games so just like any other game that is run first it will be a matter of which team’s line will dominate. Our Pick: Eagles
Dolphins @ Chargers
Both defenses will have their hands full in this one as the Chargers will have to contend with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins offense which is ranked second in passing yards at 291.9 heading into week 13 while the Chargers have the sixth most at 262.2. Our Pick: Chargers
Monday Night Football
Patriots @ Cardinals
If the Patriots are going to expect to make the playoffs they are gonna have to start to get on a winning streak. While they are at exactly .500 their division is ultra competitive as they are still two games behind the Jets who are at 7-4, three games behind the 8-3 Dolphins and in the Wild Card race they are behind the Bengals or Ravens who are both 7-4. As for the actual game on offense the Cardinals are gonna have to figure out a way to play without tight end Zach Hertz. As for the Patriots they may be down a running back as Damien Harris missed week 13 so it could be a matter of how well Mac Jones can pick apart the Cardinals defense. Our Pick: Patriots
